What problem did the client need help with?
Don and Joanne needed more living space for their growing family and a double garage
The girls wanted their own living space and with other family members often visiting from overseas they approached us to come up with a solution
What was the process we took to solve it?
As we needed to maximise the space available to fit a double garage in, we approached the neighbours to gain permission to build right on the boundary and infringe on the height in relation to boundary standard. Luckily our clients get on well with their neighbours. Our Town Planner then prepared the Resource Consent submission and successfully gained consent.
We then designed and built a beautiful bespoke Loft which features a full height atrium in the downstairs living space, exposed rafters and a large Loft bedroom and ensuite upstairs.
What was the end result? (incl. feedback if possible)
The end result is a superb Loft which fulfilled all the clients requirements. Don and Joanne's attention to the finishing details has made this one of our finest projects to date.
